The Hollywood Archive

Let's look at another film star book today. The Hollywood Archive was published in 2000-- 16 years ago already! Another heavy, coffee table type. That is Jane Russell center, Cary Grant on the left, and Ingrid Bergman at the top. Pretty nifty dust jacket.

And one of my favorite covers. Rather cool.

This book has tons of photos and info on the stars and Hollywood in general. Below is Joan Crawford recording for Our Blushing Brides, 1930.

Loretta Young (no date given)

You don't have to be a film fan to recognize this couple-- Nancy and Ronald Reagan in 1955, years away from Washington.

Judy Garland and Gene Kelly rehearsing a number for the film For Me and My Gal, 1942.

Bob Hope entertaining the troops in 1950.

Are we ready for Mae West? It Ain't No Sin, 1934

The book includes interesting bits of trivia too, such as this shot of Lucille Ball taken in the late 1940s for a fan magazine.

Or how about a Ginger Rogers autographed hat?! An ad from a Sears catalog.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
