Inchies On A Thursday

I'm sharing some more inchies today. These are not real postage stamps-- pictures from a philatelic catalog.

1960s shoes from a Sears catalog.

All vintage here from 1960s craft magazines, and a very old cookbook.

The top two image were cut the same 1960s craft magazine. The backgrounds are scrapbook paper that I embellished a bit with a white pen. The penguins were also cut from a stamp catalog (and believe it or not, I added some glitter to that one; some of you may know I'm not a glitter type girl).

The next two photos show an experiment. I used monoprint scraps for the backgrounds then drew designs with markers.

No, my printing is not that perfect. The "art" letters are stickers.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day!

New Envelopes

I was back at making envelopes a couple weeks ago. These are the simple tri-fold style, using old magazine pages. You have to admit they are colorful!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Photo Challenge

One of the online scrapbook stores has a gallery that runs monthly challenges. This month I decided to participate in the "Take That Shot" challenge. A list of 20 different subjects are given. I managed to come up with 17. Not bad. It was like a photo scavenger hunt-- fun to do on a sunny day. I thought I'd share my photos-- what would you shoot?

1. Rain (I didn't get this one-- fine with me!)
2. Sunrise (didn't get this one either-- not up early enough on a Saturday which is also fine with me!)

3. Nest

4. Buds On Tree

5. Flower-- I showed this shot last week too.

6. Umbrella

7. Bird-- yes, another duplicate from last week

8. Bunny

9. Easter Basket

10. Lily-- I know, these are lily leaves; that was the best I could do.

11. Easter Eggs

12. Puddles (I didn't get this one; see #1)
13. Kite

14. Something Purple

15. A Cross

16. The Word Easter

17. Something Yellow

18. Something Pink

19. Grass (I know-- not too exciting, but it is nice to see green grass this time of year)

20. Peeps

Just in case you're thinking I have way too much time on my hands, I did have my daughter help. She set up some of the shots, found something pink, etc. It was a fun activity!

Have a nice day-- planning on taking any pictures??

Yep, More Cards

I'm definitely in a groove (or a rut?), making note cards. I used images of vintage, old, antique... hmm... what is a polite way to describe these women? Early 20th century babes?? I'll just change that to early 1900s images adorn these cards.

Thanks for viewing!

Vintage Style Cards

Yes, more note cards made from scrapbook paper. These do have actual vintage elements here and there however.

Thanks for looking and have nice day!

Any Birthdays Out There?

I made some birthday cards from scrapbook paper this week even though I have no family birthdays coming up. These are headed to my Etsy shop. The main images came from one sheet of paper. A lot of nice pieces to work with.

Okay, technically the bike card on the right is not a birthday card, but what someone wants to write on the inside is none of my bee's wax, right?

Thanks for looking. Have a nice day out there-- even if it is your "unbirthday!"

Signs of Spring

Folks in my neck of the woods are thrilled to see green grass and a few flowers blooming this time of year. I thought I'd share some pictures. Nothing sensational-- unless you're starved for warm, colorful days like I am.

A patch of bluebells, in case you're wondering

I hope the weather is pleasant wherever you are today!

Tropical Cards

I'm a little ahead of the seasons today. I made these tropical style cards from yet more scrapbook paper. They definitely look summery!

Have a lovely day!

Postal Inchies

I made some inchies using old, foreign postage stamps. I like the way they turned out and might make some more of these some rainy day (it was actually raining when I made these).

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
